Work with us

Lorraine Heath
CEO. Blackdown Education Partnership

Many of our staff have started their careers in our schools as trainees or as early career teachers, stayed with us and gone on to hold promoted positions.

A significant number of staff have also been pupils and are now working in those very schools that nourished their own talents.

Happy and fulfilled staff who are committed to playing their part in creating a happy and safe school environment where all children feel seen and valued is what we are about.

Thus, great behaviour, fantastic opportunities and the highest of standards characterise our schools.

But that is not enough for us: we also want to promote kindness and compassion and care just as much about our children being good people as we do about their examination results.

If you share these values, we would love to hear from you.

Careers

The Blackdown Education Partnership is a newly formed Trust created by the merger of two founding trusts who share important similar values and believe that collaboration, partnership working and sharing our best ideas will enable us to deliver our mission which is:

• To nurture and develop the ambition, talents and interests of every child;

• To break down the barriers that inhibit the opportunities and achievements of disadvantaged pupils so that they can go on to lead lives of choice and opportunity;

• To create a family of schools that are deeply and purposefully connected to their communities.

We know that achieving our mission will only be possible if all our people share our values and are determined to work together to drive the success of the Trust.

To recognise the huge important part our employees play in the achievement of our mission, we offer fantastic benefits, a wide variety of career opportunities and continuous further professional development across the Trust within our 10 schools who are all based in Devon and Somerset.
